Our PTO Online Auction is just around the corner. Please consider donating items for the auction--this can be gift cards, gift certificates, as well as actual prizes.

Mrs. Moon, our amazing Art Teacher is already displaying projects created by VCS artists!

One of three local TV news broadcasts about the 'Modern Band' music program Mr. Arell is starting as part of our upcoming FLEX Friday program...this one is on WLBZ. Be on the lookout for a broadcast from FOX News Bangor, as well as WABI.

Most, if not all, of our students regularly go home with books from our library and book room. We are noting that quite a few of our 'book room' books taken by K - 3 students are not making their way back to school. Please return any books stamped property of VCS. Thank you!

All of today's hot lunch salad bar came from our school garden! We are loving harvest season at VCS!

The Thursday Garden Club scattered fall harvest happiness this afternoon!! Look from them throughout the school!

School picture day is Monday, September 23. Retakes are scheduled for Tuesday, October 29.

The Garden Club is harvesting with Mrs. Richard for the next three weeks. Flowers for classrooms, food for the lunchroom. They also planted new lettuce!

Dear VCS Families,
Please be on the lookout for very important paperwork coming to you via mail. We are proud to be partnering with Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence, Inc. to upgrade our school-wide strategic plan and capital improvement plan.
This important mailing contains survey links and unique access codes. Completion time for the survey is estimated to be 15 minutes. Surveys must be completed by September 30, 2019. We are hoping to have every parent or guardian complete a survey. Please contact me if you feel that your mailing address was overlooked (we used all physical addresses provided to us during this fall's registration period).
Data generated from the survey will help us to identify and celebrate our strengths as well as identify opportunities for growth. As a school, we are consistently looking for opportunities to grow so we can better and more strategically address each student's needs, goals and aspirations.
Thank you very much for your time and support.
Sincerely,
Matthew D. Cyr
Superintendent & Principal
